Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 22 June, 2026
EasyHeightComparison.com (accessible from https://easyheightcomparison.com) is built around one simple idea: you should be able to compare heights without handing over your personal life in the process. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what control you have over it. It also explains, section by section, the technologies many websites use (log files, cookies, ad networks) and which of those we actually use ourselves.
This policy applies only to your activity on EasyHeightComparison.com and does not cover information collected offline or through any other site.
If anything here is unclear, email us at info@easyheightcomparison.com and we will explain it in plain terms, not legal jargon.
1. Consent
By using EasyHeightComparison.com, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you disagree with any part of it, please stop using the site. Continued use after a posted update means you accept the revised terms.
2. Information We Collect
We follow a "collect only what's needed" approach.
Account information. If you create an account, we ask only for an email address, used for login, password recovery, and essential service messages. We never ask for your real name, phone number, home address, or payment information, because our service does not require them.
Content you create. Saved height comparisons, including the figures, characters, avatars, and layout choices you select, are stored so you can return to them later. This content belongs to you.
Information you send us directly. If you email us for support, we will naturally see your email address, the content of your message, and anything you choose to attach. We use this only to respond to you.
What we never collect: your physical address, your real height (unless you choose to enter it into a comparison), biometric data, payment card details, company information, or government-issued identifiers.
3. Log Files
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically keeps standard server log files when you visit. These typically include your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, date and time stamp, the page that referred you, and the pages you exit on. This is standard practice across the hosting industry and is used only to analyze traffic trends, administer the site, and troubleshoot problems. These logs are not linked to any personally identifiable account information.
4. Cookies and Web Beacons
A cookie is a small file stored on your device; a web beacon is a tiny tracking image embedded in a page or ad. Here is exactly what we use and don't use:
Functional cookies: we may use minimal cookies to remember basic preferences (such as keeping you logged in). These are not used for tracking.
Advertising cookies: the only advertising cookies on this site come from Google AdSense, described in Section 5.
Web beacons: we do not embed our own tracking beacons. Any that appear come solely from Google's ad delivery, covered below.
Analytics cookies: we use Google Analytics to understand overall site usage, including which pages are visited and how long visitors stay. Google Analytics gathers this information by means of cookies. The information gathered is used only to create internal reports about how the website is used, helping us decide what to fix or improve. Google's privacy policy is available at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
You can disable cookies entirely in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you from creating or comparing heights, though saved login preferences, analytics, and ad personalization may stop working.
5. Advertising, DART Cookies, and Our Advertising Partners
Our only advertising partner is Google AdSense. We do not work with any other ad network, affiliate program, or advertising agency, such as CafeMedia or similar arrangements. If that ever changes, we will update this section and name the partner directly.
Google DoubleClick DART cookie. Google, as a third-party vendor on our site, may use a DART cookie to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site and other sites across the internet. This is Google's technology, not ours; we have no access to or control over it. You can decline DART cookies and review Google's practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
How third-party ad serving works. When an AdSense ad loads on our pages, the request is sent directly from your browser to Google's servers, not through us. In that process, Google automatically receives your IP address and may use cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons embedded in the ad itself to measure performance or personalize what you see. We never see or store this information ourselves.
Opting out. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through Google's Ad Settings at https://adssettings.google.com.
6. Third Party Privacy Policies
This policy applies only to EasyHeightComparison.com. It does not apply to Google, any advertiser whose ad appears on our site, or any external website you may click through to. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party site directly, since we do not influence their data practices. Google's policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
7. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to:
Create, save, and reload your account and comparisons
Operate, maintain, and improve the website
Understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site through Google Analytics
Diagnose bugs, errors, and abuse using anonymized logs
Respond to support requests
Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access
Display advertising through Google AdSense, which keeps this tool free to use
We do not use your information for marketing emails, promotional partnerships, or any purpose beyond what is listed here, and we never sell, rent, or trade it.
8. How Long Do We Keep Your Data
Account emails and saved comparisons are kept for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will remove this information within 30 days, except where a short retention period is needed to resolve a technical or security issue already in progress. Server log files are rotated and cleared on a routine schedule, generally within 90 days.
9. Security
We protect your data using:
Encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the entire site
Restricted administrative access, limited to staff who need it
Routine monitoring for unusual activity
Secure, reputable hosting infrastructure
Your saved charts are not manually viewed by our team unless required to fix a reported issue or comply with a legal obligation. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users by email without undue delay, consistent with applicable law.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
Show you what data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account and associated data
Export your saved comparisons
Stop processing your data for a specific purpose
We aim to respond to all verified requests within 30 days (one month). Email info@easyheightcomparison.com to make a request.
CCPA Privacy Rights (California residents)
Under the CCPA, you have the right to know what categories of personal data we collect, to request deletion of that data, and to direct us not to sell your personal information. We want to be direct about this: we have never sold personal data and have no plans to. Because we collect so little to begin with, most requests can typically be fulfilled quickly.
GDPR Data Protection Rights (EEA visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access your data, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request data portability. Our legal basis for processing your email address is performance of our contract with you (running your account) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children's online activity generally. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher threshold). If you believe a child has created an account or shared personal data with us, contact us immediately and we will remove it promptly.
12. International Visitors
Our servers and service providers, including Google AdSense and Google Analytics, may process data in a country different from your own. Wherever your information is handled, we apply the same protections described in this policy, regardless of where you are located.
13. Intellectual Property
The comparison engine, site design, features, and written content of EasyHeightComparison.com are our intellectual property and protected under applicable copyright law. Your own saved charts and avatars remain entirely yours. Unauthorized copying or redistribution of our platform's design or code may result in a takedown request or further legal action.
14. Changes to This Policy
When we update this policy, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify users by email or a visible site notice. We encourage you to check back periodically.
